New York Webquest
Good morning internet users!
For today, i visited many websites about New York city in wich, the most interesting for me was the site about the Central Park. I like the nature and the animals, so is an interesting tourist attraction.
If I plan to go the NYC, I like to visit the cultural of this place, knowing some shows, and food typical for the zone like Time Square or Broadway. For the next I like to go a diferent places, above all structures or construction for see the differences between of architectural the NYC and Chile for example the Empire State or the Statue of Liberty. For the last thing, I want to visit some places that be more relaxing, like a park or museum, in specific the Central Park or the American Museum of Natural History.
In the next, I explore some famous tourist attractions in New York City. Informing abour the entry fees and how to get there using public transportation.
1. Statue of Liberty

- The ticket price to visit The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, is around $55.20. And to get there by ferry from manhatan, is first take the Line 4 Subway, and the next take the ferry wich takes 50 min and cost $20- $27.
2. Central Park

- The main attractions include the Ramble and Lake, Hallett Nature Sanctuary, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, and Sheep Meadow; amusement attractions such as Wollman Rink, Central Park Carousel, and the Central Park Zoo; formal spaces such as the Central Park Mall and Bethesda Terrace; and the Delacorte Theater. To reach Central Park for the Southwest entrance,the line 1, 2, A and C – Best if you are coming from Times Square or Penn Station on the 34th Street. Both 1, 2, A and C run from the stop at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue, a few steps from Times Square.
3. The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met)

- The entrance price is $30 for adults; $22 for seniors; $17 for students and is free for Members, Patrons, children under 12, and a caregiver accompanying a visitor with a disability. The nearest subway stations to The Met in Manhattan are 77 St, 86 St and 81 St-Museum Of Natural History. The closest one is a 13 min walk away.
4. Times Square

- Some events that are currently in Times Square are, TSQ LIVE Rebel Kicks (30 Aug); JT: City Cinderella ( 30 Aug); Taste of Times Square (09 Sep). The lines that stop near Times Square are 42 St (Mta - 42nd St / Times Square SUBWAY Station): 2, 3, 7X, A, N, Q, W.
5. Empire State Building

- The main deck, (86th Floor NYC Observatory) cost for adult $44.00; Child $38.00; Senior $42.00. the best way to reach the Empire State Building by subway is taking the 1, 2, 3, A, C, or E train to 34th Street/Penn Station. After a short walk of 5 minutes, you will reach the Empire State Building.
